It consists of cashmere blend covers, certified memory foam quilted into the Euro Top, contouring soft foam, Certified standard foam that helps promote proper spinal alignment, individually wrapped coils, and a sturdy shift-resistant base. The T&N comprises 5 layers consisting of a breathable pillow-top cover, open-cell foam infused with graphite and cooling gel, an additional mint layer of foam, pocketed coils, and firm edge support.

Firmness

The DreamCloud is 6.5 on the mattress firmness scale, which falls under the medium-firm category. The medium-firm mattresses are just the right combination of softness and firmness that support and cushion the body. Meanwhile, T&N is 5.5, which falls more on the medium-soft side than the firm, which is also good but not for everyone.

Thickness

The DreamCloud Premier Hybrid Mattress is 14 inches thick, whereas T&N Hybrid Mattress is 12 inches thick. Although both mattresses are appropriately thick, the thicker the mattress, the better. Because thick mattresses last long, as well as enhance support and comfort.

DreamCloud mattress reviews:

“I have a slight case of scoliosis that causes lower back pain and some sciatica pain extending into my hamstring muscles. The DreamCloud bed replaced a 20 year old frame and mattress and eliminated both problems. I have not slept this well in years.”

“I’m a side sleeper who turns often at night. I had never paid this much for a mattress before but it is worth every penny. So much more support that my old 12-inch memory foam and I never feel like I’m climbing out of a hole. It really does feel like a cloud and my back feels so much better in the morning.”

“I was looking for a firm mattress that was reasonably durable. Based on the reviews & the company’s 10 year warranty, I ordered this one. After about a year there was a noticeable sag in the middle that only got worse, until it was impossible to find anyplace on it that did not hurt my back. When I invoked the warranty, I discovered that you have to show 3/4 inch sag… WITH NO WEIGHT ON IT! This would be close to impossible, since it’s foam and it will LOOK the exactly same, even if it has collapsed in the middle. Even so, I might have attempted to use the warranty, if there was a chance to get some of my money back, but even if they agree to your claim, the only prize is another one of their crappy mattresses. According to the customer service representative, since I bought it through Amazon, “We don’t have your money,” so they can’t give a refund. What does that mean? Didn’t they get paid for the item? Did Amazon stage a raid on their warehouse and steal a pile of mattresses? Or are they simply not paying sellers for their products? Or maybe it’s because they sell a different product (and presumably inferior) through Amazon. Whatever is going on here, do not buy this product. I paid a mere $542, but it now costs $942!!! Ouch!”

“When we purchased this mattress in August of last year, we loved it! Now that we have been sleeping on it for 9 months, our thoughts have changed. I have been waking up with back pains for about 3 weeks. I did not say anything to my husband thinking that perhaps I needed to do some stretching. To my surprise, the hubby also complained that his back has been hurting upon waking for about 3 weeks as well. These are the pains we experienced when we realized it was time to change our last conventional mattress that lasted us nearly 10 years. Upon inspection, the Tuft & Needle mattress has no lumps or divots so there does not appear to be a manufacturer flaw to the naked eye. Things I did love about the mattress are the convenient packing and shipping, the price, and that there were no smells after unpacking. It was very comfortable for the first 8 months, but now I think that I will need to purchase a conventional mattress that will last for a few years instead of a few months. Please take note that all of the excellent reviews were within the first few months of owning.

Update: I called Tuft and Needle directly (5/30/2018) and spoke with Gerilynn (not sure of spelling) and was told that there was nothing they could do for me at this point. Looks like I wasted very good money on a very bad mattress. Before purchasing, please be sure to look at reviews from those who have owned the mattress for 6 months or more.”

“I moved apartments and got this Mattress mid June, it came with high recommendation from a friend. They suggested buying directly from Tuft & Needle but since I’m a regular on Amazon, I ordered it here without second thoughts. That was my mistake. I noted the 100 day return policy while ordering. The mattress didn’t work for me and my husband as we were constantly having back aches. After giving it a month, we decided that this is not for us and initiated a return. The UPS guy game to our apartment for pick up, I had everything ready but had to stick tape on it. I hadn’t done it before for ventilation, it would have taken 30 seconds but he said he couldn’t wait and gave us the label and left. We booked a uHaul later for this and took the mattress to the nearest UPS store. We wrapped the mattress in the cover it came in plus another cover that we got from Home depot. The people at the UPS store said that it has to be put in the box that it came it. It is impossible for us to compress the mattress and put it in the same box, hence I called Amazon. It was the worst customer representative ever, he first denied the 100 day return policy and then transferred my call to UPS saying its not Amazon’s problem and asked me to schedule another pick up. I did so, paid more money for the pick up and had the mattress right next to the door this time. I also let them know that I’m not able to put it in a box and confirmed that it is ok for pick up. UPS guy came again and said he can’t take it unless its in a box.

We have gone through so much pain to return this mattress, spent over $100 in this process with the Uhaul and everything but have no idea how to compress the mattress, hence not able to return. We got another mattress, from the same brand we had before and this one is laying around all wrapped up as a waste. The 100 day return policy is a total eye wash as it is impossible to return this mattress.”
